The Aerosol, an air humidifier, is the cornerstone of the company. There are also corrosion test chambers and climate chambers.
1963 Customized air conditioning
Air conditioning becomes increasingly important and is used in hotels, hospitals, office buildings and schools. Our own duct production contributes to this.
1974 Growing customer base

1977 First international projects
Air conditioning systems for government buildings, schools, mosques and residential complexes are built in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Daldrop Co. Ltd. is founded.
1978 Change in management
Following the death of company founder Norbert W. Daldrop, there is a smooth transition at the top of the
company. Ferry Zeiner, who has been with the company since 1968 and has long been the second in
command, is the guarantor of continuity and stability. In 2016, he is awarded the Rietschel diploma in recognition of his services to the heating and airconditioning industry.
1983 First cleanroom project
Ferry Zeiner makes a significant strategic change by broadening our focus from air conditioning to cleanroom technology. This opens up exciting opportunities for us to grow and strengthen our position in the market.
1984 Pioneering project
Our successful VARIPRO® system evolves from the large-scale realization of the most demanding cleanroom class for IBM Germany. In recognition of our special achievements, we receive an award from German Chancellor Dr. Helmut Kohl.

1995 Continuity and international growth
Ferry Zeiner retires and Josef Oswald, with the company since 1972 and Managing Director since 1986, becomes CEO. He defines the SHELMEQ® brand. From now on, under his leadership, the company has a strong international orientation. In
recognition of his services to the BS industry and his many years of commitment to the BTGA, he is awarded the Rietschel Diploma in 2017.
1996 First pharmaceutical cleanroom ceiling
For the vaccine plant in Dessau, Germany, we develop the PH 80 walkable pharmaceutical ceiling, which is installed over an area of more than 3,000 square meters.
1997 Going high
We build the highest cleanroom on the summit of Cerro Paranal, 2,600 meters above sea level in Chile for the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
A new generation of Varipro filter fan units (FFUs) with EC drive technology is developed and we supply and install 3,600 FFUs for a project at IBM in Ireland.
Daldrop Ireland Ltd. is founded.
1998 Management Strengthened
Klaus Golla, with the company since 1983, is appointed to the management board.
1999 Expansion
A new production building is built in the Neckartailfingen industrial estate.
2001 Expanding into new markets

2002 Introduction of SHELMEQ®
The SHELMEQ® brand is introduced to define our core business in cleanroom technology. The SHELMEQ® principle describes our integrated services in TGA and cleanroom construction.
2005 New dimensions
In Puerto Rico, we build cleanrooms with ceiling heights of up to 14 meters for (now Pfizer).
2008 Awards
Our customer IDT Biologika’s vaccine plant, one of the most modern production facilities in the world, wins the Facility of the Year Award 2008 – Operational Excellence. The award specifically acknowledges the transparency of the production process.

2011 Architecture and Technology
Transparency in a creative form combined with modernity and technical progress are the requirements of a global pharmaceutical company for its new laboratory building in Basel.
Founding of Daldrop Swiss AG.
2012 Extended know-hows
Instrumentation and Control specialist, MET – Müller Elektrotechnik GmbH joins the group.
2012 Global expansion
Entry into the American market with the founding of Daldrop USA LLC and a joint venture with SBB Inc.
2015 Steady growth
A further 2,600 m² production building is built on the Neckartailfingen industrial estate.
2018 Breakthrough in the USA
The successful joint venture becomes a subsidiary and serves the American market as Daldrop SBB LLC. Move to own buildings in Newburyport MA and Syracuse NY and start of production of standard components.
2021 Bundled expertise
MET and Daldrop Service GmbH merge to form a new center of excellence for automation and control technology, Daldrop Automation + Service GmbH.
2022 New focus
The new company, Daldrop Process GmbH, specializes in the design and manufacture of process and ultra-pure media technology for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, from the design stage right through to customized, turnkey solutions.
2023 New management
Josef Oswald and Klaus Golla retires. Jochen Müller, a member of the Executive Board since 2012, takes over as CEO. Christian Hage, who has been a managing director since 2007, remains CTO and Anett Oswald-Schatz, who has been with the company for 20 years, takes over management responsibility as CFO. This continuity allows us to build on our strengths.
